NSS Special Camp 2025

Krishna Chaitanya Institute of Technology & Sciences

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Krishna Chaitanya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Markapur, successfully organized a 7-day Special Camp at Devarajugattu Village, Prakasam District from 1st November to 8th November 2025.

Under the guidance of Dr. V. Krishna Reddy (Principal) and Mr. P. V. Anil Kumar (Programme Officer), a team of 40 dedicated volunteers actively participated in various community development and awareness activities.

Highlights of the Camp

• Day 1 (01-11-2025): Inauguration of the camp with village representatives and NSS volunteers.

• Day 2 (03-11-2025): Plantation drive to promote greenery and environmental sustainability.
• Day 3 (04-11-2025): Health awareness programmes focusing on hygiene and preventive care.
• Day 4 (05-11-2025): Road safety awareness campaign to educate villagers on traffic rules and safe practices.
• Day 5 (06-11-2025): Craft and art workshops encouraging creativity among local youth and children.
• Day 6 (07-11-2025): Cultural exchange activities fostering unity and social bonding.

• Day 7 (08-11-2025): Valedictory programme with certificate distribution to volunteers.

The camp was conducted with the support of local authorities, including Sarpanch Smt. Mettu Lakshmi, and community members. The involvement of villagers and the enthusiasm of NSS volunteers made the camp a memorable and impactful experience.

This initiative reflects the commitment of our NSS Unit to instill values of social responsibility, leadership, and community service among students while contributing to rural development.
